SLIDESHOW: Best Buy Employees Pack Veterans Day Packages

Best Buy employees at the Best Buy headquarters in Richfield, Minn., packed more than 3,500 holiday gifts for the troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Best Buy program, Operation Patriotic Endeavor, was created in 2011 by members of Best Buy’s Military Employee Business Network as another way for employees to give back to the troops.

The care packages came with technology accessories, such as flash drives, DVDs, Xbox games, personalized thank-you notes, letters and photos from children.

All the bags will travel in a truck across the country to Operation Gratitude, a non-profit agency headquartered in San Diego, who will manage the overseas shipping.
