Fridley Accepts Unused, Non-Working Christmas Lights

Fridley residents who are putting up holiday lights this season can drop off unused or non-working ones at the Municipal Center.

The city will be collecting lights from Nov. 15 to March 1. Labeled barrels will be set up in the lobby of the center, located at 6431 University Avenue N.E.

The city says the Recycling Association of Minnesota uses the lights for training disabled adults. They later recycle the wire.
