Jason Davis goes "On the Road" to New Ulm, Minnesota, to host this special program about people all over the State who celebrate "Minnesota's Heritage."

We meet and American Indian who spends his life making inexpensive wooden feathers that carry mystic messages from the chiefs and other leaders of the Indian tribes that once roamed the Minnesota plains and wilderness.

A Minnesota patriarch has such a sense of history that he laboriously carved out a replica of the dug-out his great, great grandfather lived in 1865. We meet the builder and more than 25 members of his family as they put the finishing touches to this unusual effort.

From New Ulm we are also treated to a special performance of the "Concord Singers", whose songs are always in German to celebrate their cultural roots.
