EmailNew Sporting Equipment for Schools
Schools in Osseo and Maple Grove will have some new sporting equipment. On Tuesday, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners awarded $2.1 million in grants for the 2013 Hennepin Youth Sports Program.
Osseo Senior High will receive $250,000 for lights on the baseball and softball fields. Maple Grove Senior High will receive $10,000 for pool timing equipment.
The Twins ballpark sales tax, approved in 2006, funds the Hennepin Youth Sports Program, as well as additional hours on Thursday night at the Maple Grove library.
