Cities Help Residents Pay for Home Improvements
Cities like St. Louis Park, Bloomington, Richfield, Roseville, Woodbury and Bloomington are offering residents low-interest or no-interest loans for home improvement projects.
In many cases, they loans have to be repaid only if the house is sold or refinanced.
Bloomington for instance, grants 30-50 loans like this a year.
It's an effort to prevent residents from relocating to other cities and to keep the property values high around the city.
