Emerald Ash Borer Workshop Held in St. Louis Park
Tree-killing pests are more than a headache for homeowners, they are a costly problem for cities.
An emerald ash borer workshop was held in Saint Louis Park. Representatives from 50 cities in 4 states took part. Workshop officials say cities can pay now to prevent the spread of EAB by using pesticides and strategic removal or pay even more later.
Since Emerald Ash Borer was discovered in Saint Paul back in 2009, the city removed and replaced about 3,500 ash trees.
