Ramsey County Officials Remind Residents to Get Flu Shots

Ramsey County is offering low-cost flu shots to residents who don’t have insurance or whose insurance doesn’t cover immunizations.

This year’s flu vaccine protects against three strains of flu but does not protect against H3N2v, which is usually caught through contact with pigs.

Nasal vaccines for people 2-18 years old cost $10 for those without insurance. Injectable vaccines for people 6 months old and older cost $10 for those without insurance. High-dose vaccines for those 65 years old and older cost $45 or are covered by Medicare.

The Ramsey County walk-in clinic is open from 1-4 p.m. Tuesdays, 4-7 p.m. Thursdays, and 8:30-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. Wednesdays. It’s located at 555 Cedar Street in St. Paul.
