Nolan Raises Slightly More than Cravaack, Has Less

Democrat Rick Nolan collected slightly more money than Republican Rep. Chip Cravaack in the latest quarter, but had significantly less in the bank for the final weeks of a hard-fought race in northeastern Minnesota.

Nolan's campaign said Friday that he raised $484,000 from July through September, compared with $471,000 for Cravaack.

But Nolan started October with $464,000 in the bank, while Cravaack had $1.1 million to spend.

Outside groups have spent nearly $4.5 million on the race in the 8th District, a key seat as the parties fight for control of the House.
