Wis. Gov's Former Aide to Plead in Misconduct Case

One of Gov. Scott Walker's former top aides is expected to plead to one felony misconduct count in a deal with prosecutors.
    
Kelly Rindfleisch is scheduled to appear before Milwaukee County Circuit Judge David A. Hansher at a plea hearing Thursday afternoon.
    
Rindfleisch served as Walker's deputy chief of staff during Walker's tenure as Milwaukee County executive in 2010. Prosecutors allege she worked for Republican Brett Davis' lieutenant governor campaign on county time. She faces four felony counts of misconduct in office.
    
A plea bargain Rindfleisch's attorney reached with Assistant District Attorney Bruce Landgraf calls for her to plead to one of the counts and Landgraf to drop the remaining three. The prosecutor also has agreed to recommend she serve probation and jail time rather than prison.
