EmailWest St. Paul Family Receives 'Angels in Adoption' Award
It's no surprise that parents show love and concern for their children, but a West St. Paul family is now being recognized for loving a daughter they'd never met.
Sen. Al Franken presented the Angels in Adoption award to Bridget and Patrick Menke. They had to wait weeks and get through bureaucratic red tape to adopt their daughter, 6-year-old Roxanne, from Haiti after the earthquake in 2010.
Roxanne has happily made it to Minnesota, where she is striving with the family.
