INTERVIEW: Drive-Thru Flu Shots

This weekend HealthPartners hosted a drive-thru flu shot event at their west clinic.

KSTP got to talk to the director of Urgent Care Ricky Flatz about how the drive through flu shot process went this past weekend.

The total time it took for people to drive up, roll down their window, roll up their sleeve and drive away was less than 10 seconds, Flatz said. That is how they gave 187 shots in just one day.

People found the process so convenient that after they drove up, they would go home, pick up the rest of their family and get them vaccinated too.

HealthPartners will be putting the event on again from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Oct. 13, in St. Louis Park for $30 or less.

Anyone three years old or older should be getting a flu shot this year, Flatz said.
