NHL Cancels More Games
The NHL Lockout is now affecting regular season games.
The NHL canceled the first two weeks of the regular season Thursday, wiping out the first two weeks of the regular seasion. Three home games for the Minnesota Wild are included in the cancelations. Opening night was supposed to be Thursday, October 11, 2012.
It isn’t clear if the canceled games will be made up to allow for a complete regular season.
The major sticking point in the lockout is money. Players were getting 57 percent of revenue. NHL owners want to bring that percentage down below 50.
