New Businesses to Fill Old Hamm's Brewery

It's the beer generations of Minnesotans grew up drinking from the land of sky blue waters.

Now, the old Hamm's brewery is going to be home to new businesses, including a new brewery.

Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development awarded the city of St. Paul $403,000 as part of a plan to redevelop rundown buildings.

The brewery is just east of downtown St. Paul on Minnehaha Avenue.

The eight-acre site will be the new home for Urban Organics, Flat Earth Brewing and a commercial kitchen.

Private investors will contribute matching funds.
