Students at St. Cloud State University are encouraged to get pertussis vaccinations.
More than 3,500 cases of whooping cough have been reported in Minnesota this year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Whooping cough usually starts with cold-like symptoms followed by severe coughing.
Student can schedule a vaccination by calling 320-308-3193 or visiting myhealthservices.stcloudstate.edu.
