Thursday's Child: Charlie's Life is About to Change
Years ago, Annette Fitterer was simply another Minnesotan escaping winter with a trip to Jamaica. She came across an impoverished pre-school and fell in love with the children.
In Minnesota, she began a yearly fundraiser for the kids, which helped them to get new supplies and build a new school.
One child, name Charlie, really got her heart. He had a crippled hand and foot.
Back in Minnesota, she approached the people at Shriner’s Hospital and they also fell in love with Charlie. They also agreed to fly him to Minnesota and treat his disabilities.
After months of effort, Charlie is now in Minnesota and the treatments have begun.
