Fire badly damaged a Lauderdale apartment building early Saturday morning.
Four departments responded to the fire on the 17-hundred block of Malvern Street just after 3 a.m. Officials say nine men were inside at the the time, but all managed to get out safely.

Officials believe the fire started in the back of the building, but have not determined the cause yet.
