Email2nd TV Ad from GOP Ally Attacks Nolan on Medicare
A Republican-allied group run by former Sen. Norm Coleman of Minnesota is attacking Democratic congressional candidate Rick Nolan on Medicare in a second TV ad.
A spokeswoman for the American Action Network said Thursday the group will spend $110,000 on a new TV ad in the Duluth market starting Friday.
The ad uses disco music to tie Nolan to the 1970s, when he served in Congress, and says he voted to eliminate Medicare. Nolan supported a bill that would have replaced Medicare with a national health care program.
Nolan is challenging Republican Rep. Chip Cravaack in a top national race that has drawn more than $2.8 million in spending by outside groups.
