INTERVIEW: Bed Bug Prevention
The 2012 Bed Bugs Minnesota Conference is happening in Plymouth today.

KSTP talked to the leader of the conference, Todd Leyse, of Adam’s Pest Control, about how to know if bed bugs are a problem in your surroundings.
He said to look for live or dead bugs and their skins.
Bed bugs haven’t been seen for 40 or 50 years, but they have been on the climb ever since they have come back, Leyse said.
The reasons why they might be coming back are because our modern-day insecticides are not good at killing them since they are targeted at certain bugs.
To control them, Leyse said to inspect and be aware. If people have to deal with bed bugs, consult with a professional who has canines that can sniff out the bed bugs.
The most effective method right now inspectors use is to increase the heat in the house or apartment to kill the bugs at an extreme temperature.
