EmailLow Water Levels Shut Down Blue Earth Dam
A dam on the Blue Earth River in southern Minnesota is shut down because of low water levels.
Blue Earth County officials say both of the dam’s generators are shut off. They can produce enough electricity to power 3,000 homes, but no one is without power while it’s shut down.
Maintenance work is being done with the dam is off.
