Around Town: Oscar Buzz and Rock 'n' Roll
The weather may be a bit chilly this weekend, which makes it a perfect time to catch up on movies and entertainment. KSTP’s Rusty Gatenby talks about what events he thinks you should consider “Around Town” this weekend.
Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and on Saturday you can see the jersey boys in Minneapolis at the State Theatre.
Another band in town is Kansas, who evidently has not reached their “Point of Know Return.” They’re playing Saturday night at the Myth.
As for movies, Amy Adams spent three years at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater and now she is appearing in two movies this weekend: “The Master” and “Something About the Curve.”
If you want an intense experience in the theaters, check out “End of the Watch,” which is a story of two police officers fighting crime in the worst parts of Los Angeles.
