Preliminary Fix for Sabo Bridge Seems to be Working
A preliminary fix for the wind-damaged Sabo bike and pedestrian bridge seems to be working.
Last month, crews installed a prototype fix for one of the plates that might not be able to withstand even light winds. On Tuesday, the city and its consultant confirmed three weeks of monitoring tentatively shows the fix is working well.
Eighteen plates will have to be strengthened.
The next two plates could be installed as soon as next week.
