U of M Police Host 'Coffee and Doughnuts with the Cops'
University of Minnesota police officers met with students while handing out doughnuts and coffee Tuesday morning.
The “Coffee and Doughnuts with the Cops” events are opportunities for officers to get to know the students and hand out personal safety messages. The police and students are encouraged to discuss how they can be partners in keeping the campus safe.
The police department will also be giving information about the fall campaign, called “Safety is Easy. The Pavement is Hard.” They will be handing out customized reflector buttons for students who walk or bike at night.
Events will continue throughout the week, taking place 7:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday’s event takes place at the West Bank Skyway and Thursday’s event takes place at the U of M St. Paul Student Center.
