Minnesota Sheriff's Association Announces Scholarship Program
Law enforcement students in Minnesota can now apply for the Minnesota Sheriff’s Association Scholarship Program.
The $600 scholarships will be awarded to up to 15 students in 2012. The program is a collaboration between the 87 sheriffs in Minnesota.
Applications can be submitted to local sheriff’s offices by Monday, Oct. 15. The winners will be announced in December.
To qualify, students must be enrolled in a mandated POST skills program, a second-year student of a two-year law enforcement program, or in their third or fourth year of a four-year college criminal justice course.
