You wouldn't think that the thousands of tons of waste rock cast aside by the iron ore miners in northeastern Minnesota would be worth anything, but it is.
At least it is to Kim Snell a 56-year-old entrepreneur from Duluth.
Kim sells the huge irregular shaped boulders to people who want the primal colors and hints of minerals to decorate their homes and gardens.
It is an amazing story of how a long overlooked resource is being reused in creative ways.
