A minister was sentenced Friday for stealing from an elderly parishioner, the Hennepin County Attorney's Office said.
Gregory Oats, 32, of Roseville was sentenced to 10 years of probation and 180 days in the Hennepin County Workhouse.
Oats, a pastor at Word of Faith Ministries in Minneapolis obtained power of attorney over the parishioner suffering from Parkinson's disease and diabetes, the attorney's office says. He stole about $25,000 from the victim, who has since died.
