EmailControlled Deer Hunt in Anoka Begins Saturday
Twenty-eight permits were issued to hunt deer on city land in Anoka.
For he first time ever, the City of Anoka is allowing bow hunters to hunt deer on city land. The controlled hunt begins Saturday at the Anoka County Nature Preserve and at King's Island.
The areas will not be closed to the public during that time. City officials have consulted with other communities that have launched similar programs and do not expect any accidents or injuries.
