Traveling Exhibit in St. Cloud Features Film on Tuskegee Airmen

A traveling exhibit is in St. Cloud this week telling the story of the Tuskegee Airmen and their experience fighting in World War II.
The RISE ABOVE Traveling Exhibit has a 160-degree panoramic movie screen and seating for 35 people. Attendees can watch a movie focused on the Tuskegee Airmen, America’s first black military pilots. The movie shows the obstacles they overcame to be allowed to fly for the country in the early 1940s.
The visit is sponsored by the Youth Initiative Mentoring Academies along with the city of St. Cloud and St. Cloud State University.
The exhibit will be in St. Cloud through this Saturday, Sept. 15. Visitors can see it at St. Cloud City Hall from noon to 7 p.m. daily.
