Justin Morneau Visits Salvation Army's Housing Facility

The Minnesota Twins' Justin Morneau spent Sept. 11 honoring veterans at the Salvation Army's Housing Facility in South Minneapolis.
The Morneaus helped pay for much of the $515,000 facility.
"The older I get, the more I realize how lucky I am to do what I love every day. And that's because of the people that have fought for us and the people who have kept us safe and protected us," said Morneau.
Veterans can stay at the housing facility for up to two years while the Salvation Army helps them adjust, find a job and a permanent home.
The facility has room for ten Veterans. It is currently filled to capacity and has a waiting list of 30 people.
