August was the deadliest month on Minnesota roads for motorcycle riders.
According to authorities, eleven died last month. Seven riders died in May and June this year.
In total, 40 motorcycle riders have died so far this year. There were only 29 rider deaths by this time last year.
More than 400,000 Minnesotans are licensed motorcycle riders.
