Former Blaine Basketball Coach Sentenced to 4 Months in Jail

A former Blaine High School girls’ assistant basketball coach was sentenced to 120 days in jail, 15 years of probation, and a $400 fine for having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old female player.

Jenessa Diamond White of St. Paul pled guilty to one felony county of Criminal Sexual Conduct.

The Anoka County Attorney’s Office says a Blaine police officer was patrolling Jefferson Park around 9 p.m. Monday, March 26, and noticed a vehicle in the parking lot. The officer checked the car and saw an adult woman and a teenage girl involved in sexual activity.

The girl said the woman, who was identified as White, was her ninth grade basketball coach at Blaine Senior High School. The girl said they had been dating for about a month.

Both the player and coach acknowledged the sexual relationship to the investigating officers.
