Mound Man, 70, Accused of Downloading, Viewing Child Porn
A 70-year-old Mound man is accused of downloading and viewing child pornography on his computer.
The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says Charles Dick was arrested and charged with two felonies - dissemination of pornographic work involving a minor and possession of pornographic work involving a minor.
According to the criminal complaint, a Minneapolis police officer was participating in an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force undercover operation between February and June. The officer was able to use software to access and download child pornography from Dick's IP addresses. Images downloaded during the investigation included two young girls with adult men. One girl appeared to be 7-9 years old and the other appeared to be 10-12 years old.
Detectives executed a search warrant Tuesday at Dick's home on the 5000 block of Rosedale Road. During an initial examination of his computer, investigators found 16 videos and seven images of child pornography, the sheriff's office says.
