La Crosse Offers Chief's Job to Waukesha Captain

The city of La Crosse has picked a successor to its longtime police chief.
Waukesha Police Capt. Ronald Tischer has been offered the job. Former Chief Ed Kondracki retired in April after more than 19 years with the department and 47 years in law enforcement.
WKBT-TV says Kondracki was the second-longest serving chief in the city's history.
