Study: Chocolate Can Lower Stroke Risk for Men

A little bit of chocolate could be good for men, according to a study from Sweden.

The study found that men who ate the most chocolate after 10 years lowered their stroke risk by 17 percent compared to those who didn’t eat chocolate.

Researchers say about a third of a cup of chocolate chips each week is all you need to reap the benefits.

A registered dietician at the Cleveland Clinic noted the researchers didn’t specify what type of chocolate the men ate, but said you want to choose chocolate that is at least 70 percent cocoa.

The study is in the journal Neurology.
