Widow Continues Robotics Exhibit at State Fair after Death of Husband
An exhibit at the Minnesota State Fair can remind us all to cherish what’s near and dear to our loved ones’ hearts.
Sharon Manninen is running her first robotics competition at the fair. Her husband had been running it before, but he had a stroke in November and died a few days later. She said she had to try to preserve her husband’s legacy.
“The state fair people came to me and my family and said, ‘What would you like to do with his position?’ and I just said, ‘I need to take it,’" Manninen said.
She added that she’s learned a lot and is having a great time.
