Prepare for a longer headache, if you're one of the 30 thousand people who drive across the Hastings bridge everyday.
The bridge on Highway 61 will now be closed for three days instead of two, as main span for the new bridge is moved into place just after Labor Day.
The bridge will stay open to emergency vehicles but will be shut down to drivers over the fear of gawkers would create a traffic hazard watching the installation.
The Hastings School District tells us the bridge shut down may cause some sporting events to be moved or rescheduled.
