A 50-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in connection with smash and grab burglaries of more than ten gas stations and convenience stores in the metro.
According to Minneapolis Police, Antoine Willis would break the glass doors at closed gas stations and steal lottery tickets. He would then redeem the tickets before they were reported stolen.
Investigators learned that Willis was planning to redeem stolen lottery tickets at Super America at 700 University Avenue Southeast in Minneapolis.
An officer arrested Willis after he redeemed the stolen tickets.
Willis is being held at Hennepin County Jail for probable cause burglary.
