Minnesota Girl Wins Trip to White House for Healthy Lunch Recipe
A Minnesota girl is days away from meeting the First Lady.
Twelve-year-old Riley Sorenson is one of 54 winners of a healthy lunch recipe contest sponsored by Michelle Obama. The winners will go to the White House Monday for the first-ever Kids’ State Dinner.
Boy band Big Time Rush will be performing at the dinner, and the winners will also tour the White House vegetable garden.
Riley’s creation was stuffed red peppers and banana oat stacks.
