7 Chimney Swifts Released from Captivity in St. Paul

In an effort to boost the population of chimney swifts, seven of the birds were released from captivity Thursday in St. Paul.

Their population has been cut in half as people cover their chimneys to keep wildlife out of their homes.

However, the birds are not classified as endangered.
