U of M Hosts International Cold Climate Wine Competition

More than 325 wines will be judged Thursday at the international cold climate wine competition hosted by the University of Minnesota.

The wines come from commercial wineries in 12 cold-climate states and Canada.

Twenty-one expert judges – including wine writers, restaurateurs, retailers, and wine educators – will be blind tasting the wine and awarding scores. The winner will receive the Governor’s Cup award.

The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, Aug. 16, at the Continuing Education and Conference Center in St. Paul. For more information, visit mngrapegrowers.com/competition.?
