EmailMan Flees Into Woods, Sparks Manhunt After 35W Traffic Stop

A stalled car on 35W led to a manhunt through the woods by the Minnesota River in Bloomington Tuesday. The State Patrol says troopers stopped to investigate a stalled car on 35W near 106th Street just after 5 p.m. on Tuesday. When they arrived a man inside fled down an embankment into the woods near the river.
Bloomington Police, State Troopers, Canine officers and the State Patrol helicopter spent an hour searching for the man. They were unable to find him and called the search off an hour later.
It was unclear why the man fled, but officials do not believe he committed a crime.
