Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Lucy's Garden Friday

A center that gives children a safe place to stay will soon have a new place to play.
Volunteers have worked for weeks to create Lucy's Garden at the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery Golden Valley.
The garden includes flowers, trees, a butterfly garden and a reflection path. It's named after Lucy Shults, a 1-year-old who died on vacation with her family in 2010.
Lucy's 13-year-old cousin, Sasha Hausman raised the money to help build the garden in her memory.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at the garden Friday.
The Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery gives children a place for shelter while staff help their parents resolve a family crisis.
