Muslim supporters of a proposed Islamic Center in St. Anthony are hosting a Ramadan meal this week. They say they want to reach out and share their faith with non-Muslims.
Organizers say they planned the event after offensive comments were made at a city council meeting back in June, which was when the proposed center was voted down.
The Star Tribune reports that dozens are expected to participate in the traditional dinner tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the city’s community center.
