Walker's Wife Tonette has Appendix Removed

Gov. Scott Walker's wife Tonette is resting in the hospital after having her appendix removed.
Walker's spokesman Cullen Werwie says the governor spent the night with her in the hospital in Milwaukee and is recovering well following the appendectomy Wednesday morning.
Tonette Walker was taken to the hospital on Tuesday morning with stomach pains and released. She returned to the hospital later Tuesday for additional tests.
Walker was attending a vigil for victims of the shooting at the Sikh temple in Oak Creek when she returned to the hospital. He left the vigil to be with her.
Walker has canceled his plans for Wednesday that included attending the Cranberry Growers Association summer meeting in Hancock and a meeting about the creation of a new office of youth services in Janesville.
