Mpls. Police Seeking Man in Homicide Investigation

Minneapolis police are asking the public for help in locating a man in connection to a homicide case being investigated on the city's north side.

Police are trying to locate 23-year-old Giovanni Dotts. They ask that if anyone knows his whereabouts or sees him, they call 911. They say you should not approach him.

On July 14, officers responded to a shooting at 1710 Glenwood Ave. N. When officers arrived, they learned a woman had been shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was identified as 26-year-old Adelaida Lane. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office ruled the death a homicide.

Investigators are seeking more information in the case. If anyone has information, they are asked to call the homicide office at 612-673-2941. The case number is 12-218521.
