Anoka County Woman Charged with Involving Toddler in Explicit Video Chat

A 23-year-old woman was charged with disseminating pornographic work and child endangerment after allegedly involving a toddler in a sexually-explicit video chat.

The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office says officers were called to the 600 block of 86th Lane Northwest in Coon Rapids around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21.

Officers spoke with a woman who said she left her 2-year-old daughter in the care of her sister, 23-year-old Samantha Suzanne Reed of Coon Rapids.

When the mother came home unexpectedly, the child was in her diaper and her sister wasn’t fully clothed, according to the criminal complaint. The mother opened up a computer and found a Facebook video chat between Reed and a man named Brett Evans.

The conversation involved sexually-explicit content regarding the child.

Reed told officers she met Evans on the internet 3-4 weeks prior to the incident and said he requested to see the child nude. She admitted to having sexual conversations with Evans online and eventually admitted to police that she took the clothing off the child and held her up to the camera for Evans.
