Columbia Heights residents are encouraged to be on the lookout for counterfeit bills.
The police department says there has been a recent increase in counterfeits, and community members are urged to use caution when accepting cash.

When in doubt, police say it’s best to not accept suspicious bills. If you find a counterfeit, call 911.
