90-Year-Old Minnesota Man Builds Airplane

At 90 years old, Neil Royer of Winnebago, Minn., still enjoys working with his hands. He’s restored a handful of cars and is now hard at work on his latest project – a small airplane.
The retired U.S. Navy flight engineer is building a 1929 model Pietenpol Aircraft with an engine from a Ford Model A.
He hasn’t flown a plane since leaving the military over 65 years ago.
His family doesn’t want him to take the plane up, but Royer said it would complete his bucket list. He expects to complete the plane in one more year.
