EmailWork Underway at New Minn. State Park
Work is now underway to create Minnesota's newest state park.
The Department of Natural Resources broke ground Friday near Ely on what will soon be Lake Vermillion State Park.
The 3,000-acre park will include 70 campground sites, tree houses and an adventure trail with a ropes course. Boat docks, fishing platforms and picnic shelters will also be added in the next few years.
