Minnesotans are showing their support for Somali runners with a huge paper chain.
Volunteers built the chain yesterday as they gear up to watch Somali athletes run for the gold tonight in the Olympics. Every time someone “cheers” on Facebook, meaning they “Like” or comment on the fan page, they add a ring to the paper chain.
The volunteers are hoping to get 50,000 “Likes” on Facebook. One dollar from every “Like” will be donated to the Minnesota-based American Refugee Committee’s relief efforts in Somalia.
