Driver Critically Hurt in Crossover Crash into Semi in Western Wisconsin

All westbound lanes of Interstate 94 were closed near Baldwin, Wisconsin late Tuesday morning.

The Wisconsin State Patrol reports a crash happened at 11:17 a.m. at Mile Post 13 in St. Croix County.

It began with a 2006 Subaru headed eastbound.

"The vehicle left the roadway and traveled through the median and into the path of a westbound semi," said a State Patrol spokesperson. The driver, 22 year-old Emily Sadowski from Green Bay is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi, a 47 year-old South Carolina man, was not hurt.

At 1:22, more than two hours after the crash, the state patrol said all lanes were back open, ending a backup that extended four miles.

On Monday afternoon, a collision between a sport utility vehicle and a semi killed two teens and injured two others.  Click here to read about that crash.
